Dear Friends of Rock River Christian Camp,

In today’s fast-paced, economy-driven world, Rock River Christian Camp provides a calm in the storm, a place to be still, to rest, to re-energize, to be refreshed. We want to thank those of you who have already supported Rock River Christian Camp through the Refresh Campaign. Perhaps your own life, or a life of someone you love, has been greatly impacted and refreshed by the camp’s ministry. We want many future generations to have life changing experiences at Rock River Christian Camp. This is why we want you to partner with us in the Refresh Campaign.

While no one likes debt, the camp originally took on this debt to build the multipurpose building, so that the camp could be utilized year-round by all. This was to help the camp to be able to reach more people and ultimately a greater opportunity to bring people to Christ or grow their walk with Christ. The new building did accomplish this goal. Many more people have been able to utilize the camp because of this building. Even though there has been great success because of the new building we are committed to not incur any more debt for new construction in the future, but to raise money before building again.
Our goal: It is simply to pay off the Pine Ridge Hall loan, as fast as possible, to keep the cost of camp and retreats low, so that as many people as possible can take advantage of this spiritual haven. We have been faithfully chipping away at this debt with the financial blessings we receive. Already, we have reduced our total debt by about $71,000 since the start of the Refresh Campaign a couple of years ago. Because of the generous gifts we have saved thousands of the Lord’s finances just in interest. Each month the funds that you donate to the Refresh Campaign are applied to our building loan above and beyond what we already pay out of our operating budget to reduce the debt.

We know that things are bad financially just about everywhere, but we are asking you to faithfully step out and make a financial commitment to the camp and the mission to save the lost. We are asking those of you that have been Refresh Supporters to prayerfully consider continuing your support of this campaign. If you have never supported the Refresh Campaign we ask you to consider starting to support it with either monthly gifts or a onetime gift. We have people who make donations from $25 to $200 a month, but we greatly appreciate any donation you can give. You know the old saying, “Many hands make light work.” well that saying holds true for finances also, many people donating a small amount financially makes light the financial load. others will himself be refreshed.” We believe that your generosity
will not only refresh the camp itself, but that it will spiritually
refresh our campers and guests as well.

We send out about 1,700 newsletters. If every one of you who receives this commits to giving a minimum of $10 a month for a year or a minimum one time gift of $120, we could pay this debt off in one year. While we know not everyone will give, we pray a majority of you will be convicted to help. We know some may be blessed or willing to step out on faith and give much more than $120, but no matter what amount you give just remember every little bit helps and makes a difference.

What is a $120 to Rock River Christian Camp?
It saves a life by helping us be able to put on the life changing programs that help convict someone to give their life to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Maybe it will be your child’s life or some other loved one’s life!
